About Us

Rated exceeding national quality standard

Butterflies International Early Learning and Child Care Centre is a family owned and operated early learning centre in Artarmon. Opened in 2009, we are a purpose built childcare centre, with a secure underground carpark and security access lift entrance. The Centre is air conditioned and has a large outdoor space and large rooms.

At Butterflies each child's needs and interests are built on in a caring and loving environment. We have a deep appreciation of the significance of developing each child’s potential, at their own pace, and our devoted team aim to provide a warm and welcoming environment, full of stimulating experiences and discoveries.

Our program is tailored to meet the individual needs, developmental levels and interests of each child under our care. We offer a range of experiences both planned and spontaneous and our educators act as co-learners, encouraging, questioning, extending and reflecting on shared experiences. We believe in the importance of learning through play and allow your children time to make choices and through this learn, discover, investigate and challenge themselves.

We understand that commencing child care can be a challenging experience for parents and you should not feel alone in going through the normal anxieties that parents feel. Here at Butterflies we are always available to discuss your child’s progress and any other matters – no matter how big or small they may seem.

Building strong positive relationships with families is important to us at Butterflies. The door is always open and we look forward to working in partnership with you and watching your children grow and develop.

In August 2017, Butterflies was assessed under the National Quality Framework.
This system is uniform across Australia and is designed to improve the quality of education and care for all Australian children.
The rating for a service is determined by assessing the service's performance against 58 standards in seven quality areas outlined in the National Quality Standard (NQS).

The ratings reflect the high quality education and care that we provide. The skills, knowledge and experience of our dedicated team of educators, past and present, who have worked hard over the past few years to implement the quality framework, has made this result possible. We are working to embed continuous quality improvement within every element of our service to maintain the high standards that we have achieved.
